Non-RHA Images:

  • Fundus photos: Reveal a subtle circular area of change in the macula. The lesion cannot be localized by layer or retinal structure
  • OCT: A serous detachment is seen on OCT
  • IVFA: Early and late phase IVFA reveals a highly defined deep choroidal lesion consistent with choroidal atrophy. Early phase views show choroidal flush around the lesion which is consistent with complete destruction of the overlying RPE in this area. The central portion of the lesion is slightly hyperfluorescent and is fairly well defined but does not maintain a classic smoke stack appearance.
